Dr Thomas Hufnagel

Dr Thomas Hufnagel advises on all relevant contractual and corporate law issues for companies in Asia. Besides M&A activities, he specialises in the establishment of, and assistance to, joint ventures; the structure of cross-border transactions; distribution law; and plant construction. Dr Hufnagel is a member of several supervisory committees for European companies located in Singapore.

Corporate/M&A

After receiving an education in banking, Dr Thomas Hufnagel studied law and economics in the German cities of Freiburg, Bonn and Münster, where he then received his doctorate in residential property law. Dr Hufnagel held several positions at BASF AG from 1996 to 2007, including the leadership of the BASF regional legal department in Singapore from 1999 to 2003, where he was responsible for providing legal guidance in all activities for South and Southeast Asia. He joined Luther in 2007.
