Julia Hartung, Maîtrise en Droit

Julia Hartung advises national and international clients on matters relating to digitalisation and information technology, including copyright, media, e-commerce, and data protection law. She specialises in complex IT contracts, licensing issues, IT project disputes and IT procurement procedures. She also advises on the EU regulation of platforms and emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence. Julia also represents clients in data protection litigation and provides guidance on establishing and maintaining data protection compliance.

Julia Hartung studied law at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and the University of Cergy-Pontoise in France, obtaining her Master's degree in Business Law. Following her work on EU regulatory matters at the European Parliament, she was admitted to the bar in 2018. She has several years of experience in data protection, IT, media, and EU regulatory law, and has worked as in-house counsel in the Disputes department at Meta. She joined Luther in March 2026.
