Jakob Gauly works in Luther's Real Estate service line. He advises private companies and public clients on public procurement law in the planning and implementation of large-volume national and Europe-wide procurement procedures. He also advises private companies and public clients on public law and private construction and real estate law.
Jakob Gauly's procurement law advice focuses in particular on providing legally compliant support for Europe-wide tenders in the field of construction contracts and freelance services (e.g. architects and engineers). Jakob Gauly provides support for all tendering and procedural issues, from the definition of requirements to the conclusion of the procedure, including in review proceedings before the public procurement tribunals and the public procurement senates of the higher regional courts. His areas of expertise also include support during the implementation phase.
Jakob Gauly's construction and real estate law advice covers all construction, architectural and real estate law issues from purchase or construction, through planning and use, to sale and beyond. Jakob Gauly also handles the judicial enforcement and defence of claims.
Jakob Gauly studied law at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg im Breisgau, specialising in German, European and international public law. After completing his studies, he did his legal training in the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court district. During this time, he worked for a large international law firm in the field of public commercial law and public procurement law. Since being admitted to the bar in 2023, he has been working at Luther, particularly in the areas of public procurement and construction law, and has successfully completed the specialist lawyer training course in public procurement law.
