Franziska Maier advises on the protection of industrial property, in particular, on trademark, copyright and unfair competition law, including representing her clients in court. She further specialises in data protection law, in particular, the drafting of documents and contracts under data protection law, and in advising on data protection compliance. Her services further include drafting and negotiating IT contracts (for example, licence agreements, cloud and project agreements).
Franziska Maier studied law and additionally completed a supplementary business administration programme at the University of Bayreuth (Germany). After carrying out her legal training in the District of the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court, part of which involved working at Luther and in a law firm in Los Angeles (USA), she worked as legal counsel at a car manufacturer, dealing with group privacy issues. She then went on to complete an LL.M. programme, with an emphasis on entertainment, media and technology law, at the University of California in Los Angeles. Franziska Maier joined Luther in December 2024.
