Areas of practice

Anna-Sophia Riebeling primarily advises borrowers, lenders and private equity funds on all matters pertaining to banking and finance law. This includes providing support with the structuring, negotiation and documentation of syndicated loans, acquisition, project and real estate financing and factoring and securitisation transactions. In addition to this, she also provides advice on authorisation/licensing and registration procedures and on marketing authorisation procedures, on the structuring, setting-up, managing and dissolution of open-end and closed-end real estate funds and on how to structure and implement service investment management company models.

One of her current focus areas is advising on sustainable finance/ESG. In this area, she particularly advises on compliance with the regulatory requirements under Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 (Disclosure Regulation) and Regulation (EU) 2020/852 (Taxonomy Regulation), assists with the implementation of the disclosure requirements at company and product level and advises on reporting obligations.

Vita

Anna-Sophia Riebeling studied law at the University of Giessen (Germany). As part of her subsequent work at a chair with a focus on banking and capital markets law, she also spent some time doing research in South Korea. Her legal training included training periods at the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) and in a large renowned international law firm. Anna-Sophia Riebeling joined Luther as a lawyer in 2021.
