Luther advises OGE on expansion of hydrogen strategy through joint venture foundation “evety”

Essen - As a particularly flexible and sustainable source of energy, hydrogen is the energy carrier of the future. In order to support companies and local authorities in the implementation of hydrogen projects, Open Grid Europe GmbH, together with TÜV Süd AG and the management consultants Horváth & Partner, has founded the consulting company "evety GmbH". Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft advised OGE on all legal aspects of the establishment of the joint venture company.

Background

The goal of "evety GmbH" is to offer consulting services and project support for third parties, thereby creating synergies for further follow-up business in addition to the core business.

The approval of the Federal Cartel Office has already been granted.

Open Grid Europe GmbH, based in Essen, is Germany's leading natural gas transporter and is actively involved in shaping the European natural gas transport market. With around 1,450 employees, who combine decades of experience in technology, operation and marketing, OGE operates the largest gas transmission network in Germany with a length of around 12,000 kilometers.

TÜV SÜD Aktiengesellschaft, headquartered in Munich, is a technical testing organization that offers services focusing on examination, inspection, expert opinions, testing and certification (together "TIC services") as well as training, seminars and consulting in these fields.

Horváth & Partner GmbH, headquartered in Stuttgart, is an internationally active, independent management consultancy.
