On a growth path: Luther advises QSIL on acquisition of ROBU glass filter devices

Leipzig, 28.02.2023 – The materials specialist QSIL SE from Ilmenau in Thuringia is growing again and expanding its portfolio in the quartz and special glass sector by acquiring the leading manufacturer of sintered glass filter elements and glass filter devices. In the process, QSIL was once again advised by Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft.

Background

The acquisition is another part of the QSIL Group's continuous growth course in recent years. ROBU Glasfilter-Geräte GmbH specialises in the production of sintered glass filter elements made of borosilicate and quartz glass, as well as glass filter devices with glass filter elements built into them. The product range extends from standard laboratory equipment such as filter crucibles, nutsches, candles and funnels to many custom-made sintered glass elements, especially for technical solutions in the fields of pharmacy, sensor technology, chromatography and nuclear medicine. With the increase in technology and material know-how, QSIL will also be able to offer its own customers in the quartz and special glass sector even better service and strengthen its expertise, especially in the field of medical technology.

Luther is advising QSIL for the second time. Most recently, the Luther team was active alongside QSIL in the takeover of several locations of the H.C. Starck Group.
