M+V and Altios merge to form a leading international market expansion services provider

Cologne – The German business consulting firm M+V Maier Vidorno GmbH and its founding shareholder and the French firm Altios International SARL have entered into an agreement to acquire reciprocal cross-holdings. The merger creates a leading global consultancy group that helps medium-sized companies with their market entry and expansion into 30 countries.

Background

With this transaction, M+V and Altios are joining forces to jointly advise SMEs and medium-sized companies on their internationalisation projects. The two groups of companies have thus laid the foundation for a strong European brand that offers over 50 years of experience in international distribution and in expanding into new markets and comprises more than 750 professionals in 32 offices worldwide.

Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft provided comprehensive legal advice to M+V and its founding shareholder Klaus Maier. The internationally experienced, Cologne-based team drafted and negotiated the participation and shareholders’ agreements, articles of association and other contracts under German and French law. In addition to this, they were involved in coordinating a number of complex implementation steps with the shareholders and other advisors in Germany, France and India.
