Luther strengthens its team with two new partners

Cologne/Hamburg – Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft has been able to recruit Jette Gustafsson and Dr Boris Ober as partners for its teams at the Hamburg and Cologne offices, thereby strengthening its market position in the areas of logistics and restructuring. Gustafsson will start on 1 June 2022, Ober on 1 July.

Background

Luther is expanding its Commercial Team with the addition of Jette Gustafsson, LL.M. (Boston), a specialist in transport and forwarding law. The Hamburg-based lawyer advises clients from all areas of transport and logistics law, in particular shipping companies, carriers, freight forwarders, the shipping industry, warehousing companies and logistics companies. She also advises on digitalisation in shipping and litigates before German courts and arbitration tribunals. Gustafsson previously worked at a law firm specialising in transport and logistics law.

"Our clients face huge challenges across the supply chain. Jette Gustafsson has already impressed us with her competence and experience in mutual mandates – she will further strengthen and advance our expertise, especially in the area of air & sea and international supply chain," said a delighted Dr Maximilian Dorndorf, Co-Head of Luther's Mobility & Logistics Industry Group.

The Cologne team will grow with the experienced restructuring expert Dr Boris Ober as a partner. Ober advises insolvency administrators, companies and investors on all aspects of out-of-court and insolvency restructuring, including group insolvencies and cross-border insolvency proceedings. He has many years of experience in the restructuring of companies in self-administration and protective shield proceedings. Ober was most recently a partner at Reitze Wilken Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten and worked in Görg's Cologne office from 2011 to 2019.

"I am looking forward to working with our new colleagues, who have developed a clear specialisation and with whom we will further expand our range of advice in the areas of transport and logistics law as well as restructuring and insolvency," said Volker Steimle, Head of the Commercial Service Line at Luther.
