Luther S.A. advises SustainCERT on its largest capital raise to date

Luxembourg, 09/06/2023 – Luther S.A. advises SustainCERT, a global leader in climate impact verification, on its capital raise of $37 million. SustainCERT is launching the world’s first climate impact verification platform this year and will use the proceeds to scale its value chain decarbonization impact solution for Scope 3 emissions, and to support the launch of its digital verification solution for carbon markets.

SustainCERT's solutions will accelerate the speed, accuracy, and quality of data measurement for carbon credits and greenhouse gas emissions. This funding aims to support the growth of SustainCERT's digital climate impact verification platform and expand the reach of the Value Change Initiative, which focuses on defining best practices for Scope 3 emission reductions. New investors, Partech and Hartree Partners, along with existing shareholders Citizen Capital, Innovacom, and Microsoft's Climate Innovation Fund, have participated in the fundraising.

This fundraising transaction was led by Luther S.A Partner Anna Gassner, supported by Managing Associate Nicolas Zenoni. Luther advised on all aspects of the transaction: drafting and negotiation of Investment Agreement, Shareholders Agreement, and all required corporate documentation for the issuance of new series B.
