Luther advises TRIMET Group on the renewal of its syndicated loan

Frankfurt am Main – Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft has advised TRIMET Aluminium SE and other companies of the TRIMET Group on the renewal of the existing syndicated loan with a simultaneous increase to EUR 250 million.

Background

The newly concluded syndicated loan agreement is structured as an ESG linked loan and is provided by a club of ten banks. For the first time, the syndicated loan reflected ESG criteria by linking the loan conditions to the achievement of defined sustainability targets. With this transaction, the TRIMET Group secures long-term financing security at attractive conditions ahead of the expiry of the syndicated loan agreement concluded in 2019.

Luther has already advised TRIMET on the initial conclusion of the syndicated loan agreement in 2013 and its early extension in 2015 and 2019.
