Luther advises QSIL SE on acquisition of H.C. Starck Group locations in Germany, England, China and India

Leipzig, 21.09.2022 – The internationally active materials specialist QSIL is taking over the sites in Hermsdorf (DE), Calne (GB), Taicang (CN) and Bangalore (IN) from the H.C. Starck High Performance Metal Solutions, a leading supplier of high-performance metals. QSIL was again comprehensively advised by Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft.

Background

With the acquisition of the three locations in Germany, England and China, QSIL SE continues its successful growth course of the past years and expands its globally unique portfolio with products, technologies and solution competences from the field of refractory metals with high melting points and extreme resistance. In addition, QSIL SE is taking over a sales location in India. The QSIL Group will thus be able to offer its customers the complete range of high-performance materials for critical solutions in the semiconductor, chemical and mechanical engineering industries from a single source and, with now 1,000 employees and annual sales of over EUR 200 million, will strengthen its leading position in these markets. The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval of the competent authorities in the United Kingdom.

Luther has already provided legal advice to QSIL SE on previous acquisitions and also provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to the client on this transaction.
