On 31 July 2018, the Luxembourg statics institute STATEC published a communication stating that an indexation would take place on 1 August, 2018.

The Minister for Economic Affairs Mr. Etienne Schneider also confirmed this piece of information by means of an official tweet on 31 July, 2018.

The mobile salary scale will be adjusted to 814.40 points and will no longer be 794.54 points as of 1 August, 2018. This will result in a 2.5% increase of salaries, wages, and pensions on such date.

Employers will mandatorily have to apply the wage indexation to all their employees.
